This is an original pinback button for Otto Bremer’s unsuccessful 1912 St. Paul, Minnesota mayoral campaign.  Bremer was a wealthy banker, brewer owner and philanthropist who ran as the Democratic candidate and lost a close election for mayor of St. Paul in 1912.  This pinback measures 1.25” in diameter and has the original paper label insert in the back from The Western Novelty & Badge Company of St. Paul, Minnesota.   The button has a portrait of Bremer and text that reads OTTO BREMER FOR MAYOR.
