Naturally Seasoned
Carbon steel must be seasoned to ensure optimum surface for searing and frying, and to prevent against rust. Once seasoned, the naturally nonstick surface requires proper care. To clean, don't use soap, rather soak the wok in hot water for 5 minutes to loosen stuck-on food. Then use hot water and a soft sponge on the inside to protect the interior patina. To clean the exterior, hot water and a scrubber sponge is adequate. Dry over low heat prior to storing.
