    Description

    This auction is for a stunning MOTTAHEDEH Limited Series LARGE BOWL made by Vista Allegre in Portugal for Mottahedeh. It is a reproduction of an important antique Chinese export porcelain bowl formerly in the Mottahedeh Collection. This very special bowl was made in a small limited edition of 150 pieces. The bowl is numbered 02/150. It is about 9 ½” (24 cm) in diameter and 4 ½” (11.5cm) high. The bowl is decorated with two ovals of hunting scenes in sepia and two roundels containing landscapes, also in sepia. The interior of the bowl has a basket of flowers at the bottom and elaborate borders of blue and gold at the rim. The outer rim has similar fancy borders at the rim and a simpler border at the foot. Much of the decoration looks hand-painted. Simply spectacular! The bowl is in perfect condition.
