You are bidding on a 15" Oval Serving Platter in the classic "Blue Lace" pattern by Mottahedeh.
It is sold as-new in its original box, having been used as a display piece, but never used for service.  There are no knife marks as this piece has not been used for food service.  It retails for over 0 at luxury stores around the nation.
Inspired by a Chi'ing Dynasty porcelain service, Blue Lace features a delicate deep-blue lacework rim with teardrop borders and fillets of hand-painted 22-karat gold.  For all its elegant detail, the rim has the subtlety of a solid color and makes the platter easy to pair with other patterned dinnerware.  It would make a stunning addition to any blue and white pattern and is a standout when paired with classic white patterns.
Each piece is beautifully handcrafted in Portugal of white porcelain and is hand-glazed by the artisans of Mottahedeh, a company dedicated to reproducing treasured antique patterns since the 1950s.
