Mottahedeh reproduction of a Lowestoft ceramic soup tureen and under tray, having a gilt and polychrome decorated body, the lidded tureen having a gilt floral knob handle above a gilt and coral red oxide band at the rim,
the body with braided applied handles, centering a swagged urn with floral sprays in red oxide with gilt embellishments.
What really stands out is the gold handles and finial. The coral red
and gold design are used on the entire piece.
Marked along the undersides: "Italy A Mottahedeh Design".
Covered Tureen is approx..: 8” long x 5” wide x with lid 6.6” high x w/o lid 3.5” high
Underplate is approx..: 8 ¾” long x 6.5” wide x 1”high
Good condition overall.
