Mottahedeh Niderviller Wood Grain Trompe l'Oeil Soup Tureen & Under Plate

Description

This is a nice soup tureen with lid & under plate by Mottahedeh.
The pieces were produced for Neiman Marcus after a Niderviller set dating from 1780.
The pieces are made of white porcelain with a faux wood grain finish set with sepia tone landscapes.
The handle on the lid is shaped like a stylized branch and the tureen handles like animal heads.
The three pieces are all in very good vintage condition with only light scratching consistent with use.
The pieces together measure 9.75" tall, 15.25" long, and 11.75" wide.
