Window card for the 2000 Broadway musical "The Wild Party" with book, music and lyrics by Michael John LaChuisa, based on Joseph Moncure March's obscure 1928 narrative poem of the same name about a sex-and-booze blowout that ends in violence. The production played at New York's Virginia Theatre for 68 performances. The show starred Toni Collette, Eartha Kitt, Marc Kudisch, Norm Lewis, Sally Murphy, Mandy Patinkin, and Tonya Pinkins. The production received seven 2000 Tony Award nominations including Best Musical, Best Book of a Musical, Best Original Musical Score, Best Actor in a Musical (Patinkin), Best Actress in a Musical (Collette), Best Featured Actress in a Musical (Collette), and Best Lighting Design (Jules Fisher and Peggy Eisenhauer), although it won none of these awards.
The card measures 14 x 22 inches and is printed on standard card stock. The item is in excellent condition other than trivial edge wear consistent with age. Colors remain vibrant. The item is sold in AS IS condition so please study the accompanying photograph prior to bidding.
